They are one of the many indigenous communities in the Peruvian Amazon that will showcase the cultural heritage of their ancestors, their language and customs, traditional attire, hunting techniques, craftsmanship, and the music played during the ayahuasca ceremony.   Itinerary DAY 1 Arrival and Rainforest Adventure Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be transferred to our office in Puerto Maldonado. Store any non-essential luggage and board a 40-minute boat ride along the Madre de Dios River to our Amazon Lodge. You’ll be greeted with a refreshing fruit drink and receive key information about your stay. After lunch and rest, begin your rainforest adventure with a visit to a Brazil nut camp and a rubber tapper camp, where you’ll learn about latex extraction. The day’s activities include a 2-hour trek and a night boat ride at 7:00 PM for a “Caiman safari” to spot riverbank wildlife. DAY 2 Early Start and Amazon Exploration Begin your day at 5:30 AM with coffee before heading to Lake Sandoval. After a 20-minute boat ride and a 3 km trek through Tambopata National Reserve, you’ll reach the lake. Explore by rowing boat, seeking river otters and observing diverse wildlife. Enjoy breakfast amidst nature before returning to the lodge for lunch at 1:30 PM.
