DAY 3 Chaullay – Playa Sahuayaco – Santa Teresa – Hidroeléctrica – Aguas Calientes We’ll start the day with breakfast and then hike to Playa Sahuayaco, enjoying the jungle scenery and local plantations. After lunch, we’ll take local transport to Santa Teresa and then travel by car to Hidroeléctrica. From there, we’ll walk along the train tracks to Aguas Calientes. After checking into your hotel and refreshing, we’ll have dinner in the evening and then rest. DAY 4 Machu Picchu – Cusco Early in the morning at around 4:30 AM, we’ll begin our walk to Machu Picchu. You can choose to hike up to catch the sunrise or take the bus. Once at the ruins, a guided tour will explore the Inca city for about two hours, followed by free time to visit other parts of the citadel, like the Inca Bridge and the Sun Gate. Starting at 2,900 meters (9,515 feet) and reaching a high point of 4,650 meters (15,200 feet), this trek covers a challenging 52 kilometers (33 miles). Prepare for a cold first night, with temperatures dropping to around 0º Celsius. The trek’s difficulty varies based on individual fitness levels, offering an unforgettable journey through stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage on your way to Machu Picchu.   Itinerary DAY 1 Cusco – Soraypampa We’ll pick you up from your hotel at 4:30 AM and drive through the scenic villages of Izcuchaca and Limatambo to Mollepata for breakfast. From there, we’ll continue to Challacancha, the starting point of our hike. Our trek will take us to our campsite at Soraypampa (3,900 meters), with a lunch stop and a briefing.
