Itinerary
DAY 1
Welcome to Cusco - Hotel Accommodation + CITY TOUR
Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for acclimatization. At 1:00 p.m., we’ll start our tour by visiting key sites including:
- Koricancha: A significant Inca temple dedicated to the sun god Inti.
- Sacsayhuaman: Known for its massive, precisely fitted stones and panoramic views of Cusco.
- Qenqo: A worship site dedicated to the Puma god and where sacrifices were made.
- Puca Pucara: The “red fortress,” a former Inca military outpost.
- Tambomachay: A site dedicated to water worship.
Return to the main square for an overnight stay at your Cusco hotel.
DAY 2
Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour
7:45 am, Pick-up from your hotel in the city of Cusco, then our tourist transport will take us to the Sacred Valley to visit 3 archaeological centers and traditional artisan markets. Pisac: A picturesque colonial mestizo town and archaeological site that showcases stunning mountain architecture. Urubamba: Continuing our journey, we will arrive in Urubamba to enjoy our buffet lunch prepared with local products. Ollantaytambo: We will have the opportunity to visit the “living Inca city” of Ollantaytambo, a city with remarkable constructions that once served as an administrative center for the area. Chinchero: A textile village that has preserved its traditions for generations. Finally, return to Cusco.
DAY 3
Machu Picchu Full Day
After a restful night in Machu Picchu and a briefing from our guide, we’ll take a 45-minute bus ride ascending 400 meters to the Machu Picchu Historic Sanctuary. There, our 3-hour guided tour will cover key sites like temples, plazas, and astronomical centers. An optional hike up Huayna Picchu is available with an additional ticket. Following our exploration, we’ll return by bus to Aguas Calientes, board the train to Ollantaytambo, and transfer back to Cusco for an overnight stay.
DAY 4
Last Day
- Breakfast at the hotel. At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport, depending on your flight schedule.
