Embark on an unforgettable adventure with our full-day Humantay Lake Tour from Cusco, perfect for nature lovers and thrill-seekers. This tour offers a chance to marvel at the stunning turquoise waters of Humantay Lake, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the snow-capped Andes. The journey begins with a scenic drive through the Salkantay Valley, offering spectacular views of the Andean countryside and its charming villages.
Upon reaching Soraypampa, the trek’s starting point, you’ll be greeted by the magnificent Salkantay Peak. The challenging hike to Humantay Lake takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, passing through diverse landscapes from lush meadows to rocky highlands. The vibrant azure lake, nestled at the base of the Humantay Glacier, provides a striking contrast to the rugged terrain, creating a perfect setting for photographers and nature enthusiasts to capture unique landscapes and enjoy the serene environment.

Early in the morning, between 4:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel. We will drive for about two hours to the village of Mollepata, where we will have a nutritious breakfast to give us the energy to continue our journey to Soraypampa, located at 3920 meters above sea level. Here, the landscape is dominated by the snowcapped peaks of Salkantay and Humantay. You can choose to hike or hire a horse for the ascent to the lake. The guide will give a brief informative talk as we prepare for the route to the lake, which will pass the highest point of our excursion. Along the way, we will pass through marvelous scenery with views of majestic peaks. At 4200 meters above sea level, the turquoise waters of Humantay Lake are a breathtaking sight. After this extraordinary experience, we will return to our starting point, where we will be served lunch before boarding our transport back to Cusco, arriving in the city around 6:00 p.m.
